i am having conflicting temp readings on one of my systems.
set up is:- soyo sy 6ba +4 mobo
cell 800@1066256megs pc133 ram
3d prophet mx2
muse sound card etc.

The other system is:- abit bf6 mobo
cel 566@850
geforce anhil pro 32megddr
256 megram
soundblaster sound card etc
both systems have identical cases.( tried the 800 in this and wont boot into windows 1066 )

problem 1.
the soyo bios temp reads 32 degs c but when booted up hardware doctor and sisoft sandra report temp as mid 20s @23degc
the abit reads 39 degs idle in sisoft and hw doc. I f i change chips round the readings are about the same ie soyo reads mid 20s the abit reads about 39 degs idle.
obviously there is some part of the soyo board telling lies, where does the bios temp reading come from and is it the same place as the software uses?
if anyone can help that would be great
ps i know the temp is a little high on the abit board but what the heck it runs fine and the chip is several months old and cheep tee hee.

Hi quark,
First of all I suggest you to monitor temps with MotherBoardMonitor that you fond at http://mbm.livewiredev.com
About the values reported by Bios, I know that are temps@full load, but my personal experience says that, under Win @full load, temps are higher also if reported by the same sensor!
