I was wondering how to asign more memory to programs. I'm converting DivX to MPEG for VCD movies and TMPGEnc is only using 32MB of my 400MB of free memory. I'm thinking increasing the ammount of memory the program can use would speed the process up A LOT. I read about doing it before somewhere online awhile back, but I can't seem to find the guide anymore.

My dad also rips his DVDs to his HD and his program only uses 53MB out of his 800MB free.

If anyone knows how to adjust this memory usage thing, I'd really appreciate it if you'd help me out :)

it sounds more like you need to adjust a setting in your encoding application

there is a program by microsoft that *might* have that capability, to some extent, but i really can't think of it's name right now.
