View Full Version : Sudden Problem with raid setup, I think

Well I've noticed lately that sometimes when I boot, that my raid drives aren't found. It will either say that 1 of them isn't found and make me go into the raid setup, or else it will say "operating system could not be loaded" or something like that.

If I reboot, same thing. But if I turn off the comp for a couple sec's, then turn it back on, it's working fine again.

Well lately I've been having problems with windows, and I'm hopeing it's because of the raid driver (display drives don't load properly, refresh rate is all messed up).

I'm using abit's offical bios 20, and I have 2 wd800jb's in raid-0 setup (with 2 ide to sata connectors, the ones that come with the nf7).

I was just wondering which bios version is the best for raid, and also do you think it's my HD's causing the problems?

I passed 24 hour prime at 216x12, 1.85v. But now failed at 216x12, 1.93v after 11 hours.

Memtest86 also freezes at 217 in dual channel. I've tested 1 stick so far, and it's good. Will test other tonite.

Please help!

EDIT: Now when I play cs for a little, I start hearing crackling noise and sounds. And was just playing, and the screen went black, and I had to reboot. Never seen that happen before....

EDIT2: crashed some more. I lowered the clock to 200x12, 1.85v now, and so far so good. Something is def. wrong with my comp, now I need to figure out what.

Sounds like the O/C is getting flaky..How are the temps ?

I would try the system at 200 for a bit and see if things get any better

Yea, thats a good idea. Just is weird, seeing how I passed 11 hours of prime 3 times, and 24 hours of prime once. Temps are fine, idle at 38c, load at 44c w/ 1.93v.

Just kinda wierd, I've never had this sort of thing happen before.

But does bios 20 have good sata drivers? I've searched, but only have came up with moddified bios's.
