Hi, first of all, sorry for my english and greetings to all, this is my first post.

I want to tell my experience with my Duron applebred, i've read many posts here and in others forums that this CPU is very good to overclock and i finally went to buy one :). I didn't hope the cpu wasn't locked but for my surprise it have this stepping:

DHD1800DLV1C T588162271405
MIUHB0329VPMW 1999 AMD....

Week 29 of 03, mmmmmm GOOOD!! it isn't LOCKED!!, and after many tests i have reach to 16x137=2192 with 1,550v CPU core... I know i know..., best more FSB than Multiplier, but i have "ACME" 1x512 ddr2700 + 1x256DDR2700 memory modules and I don't want to force too much them, althought i reached 140 FSB when i had 15x multiplier, but windows xp won't boot at that point and i put 16x137 with 1,550v....

I want to know yours opinions... i better try more FSB and less multiplier???

Sorry!!!! my system:

Asus A7V8X, with last BIOS update
Duron AppleBred 1800@2192
768Mb DDR2700 "ACME" (one is infineon, i think)
GeForce 4 MX440 64Mb
Thermaltake TR2-M1 Cooler
Temp iddle: 45ºC

Thanks!!

you can try to get lil more FSB with the ram should handle a 333 FSB. it also might want alil more Vcore. but what you got for cooling. Uping the Vcore needs good cooling

166??? :(

Nope, i can't pass 140 FSB :(, i am thinking to buy a NForce2 400 motherboard to use de lock PCI/AGP Bus... and get the maximun oc posibilities for this super CPU :).

Althought, what vCore could i get without danger?, to make some safe tests..., because the system reboots sometimes at 16x137 with 1.550 vcore, in iddle... ?!? But in all the test i ran, all was ok, one of the reboots was when i was creating a shortcut to a program in desktop hehehehe

Thanks

Hi :). I would up the vcore, you ram should be able to do 166 (333/2) and proable more. That is a good oc you got out of that chips. Also your motheboard i think has pci/agp lock on it.

I have that board in my 2nd pc, and it runs 166x12 all day with my 1.6 duron. Also, I had the duron up to 2.4ghz in my main rig, at only 1.75v.
