i just got my new board and am looking for new ram since the stuff i have is 2700. i was looking at the hyperx pc4000 (ddr500) will it work in my board? the specs only list 333 and 400. i don't want to drop $300 on matched memory and have it not work.
also, would it be better to get slower memory at a lower cas or faster memory at a higher cas? ex: pc3500 cas2 or pc4000 cas3?
thnx a lot

hyperx pc4000 or 3700 or above were made for intel setups an don't run good on amd setups. PC3200 or 3500 is fine for these mobo's. HyperX PC3000 some of these sticks had bh-5 or bh-6 mem that also works good.

I know for a fact hyperx 3200 works very well on lanparty nfII ultra b. I put 2x512gbs in dual channel without any problem and have it at 2.0 cas.

thnx a lot guys, i'm glad i didn't get the pc4000 when i saw it onsale at bestbuy then. i'll shop around and get some 3200 or 3500.
