I have a Tyan Trinity 400 mobo, and a socket 370 PIII 600 coppermine.

Is there anything I can do to speed the sodding thing up while I wait for the cash to get an EP-8K7a+ and Athlon?

I'm at my wits end. The chip is locked. The bios is unhelpful (Even with latest rev). Increasing the multiplier stops me booting. SoftFSB doesn't work on my board.

Can you help?

Dude you have a Coppermine you can change the mult clock on them maybe try ramping the FSB up a bit

Well check your MB manual and see if theres FSB frontsidebus settings [jumpers on your MB] if theres nothing in bios and no jumpers on your MB and softFSB does not work then i'm afraid your probably done, there is one other program that lets you change a few BIOS settings through the Windows enviroment but its not as good as softFSB. either one of these programs are not going to get you much speed anyway wothout a good overclocking MB your stuck, i'm sure for under a 100 bucks you could get a good MB and maybe a good heatsinkfan for your CPU and then you may be able to push that CPU to speeds you can stand. Check the CPU database and see what others are overclocking your CPU too and then see if it justifies the extra cash.

goodluck

I found something that work on bois but you have to load into safe mode command prompt. It says it has more settings than most Bios.I put it up on my page here is a
link (http://members.theglobe.com/AmbintFicton/TWK153B.ZIP) to it. I don't know if it work I don't feel like it not working and frying my new CPU
