WinXP Pro Duplicate icons!!!

Everytime I get a new shortcut or icon on the dekstop, it makes two of them, if I delete one, they both dissappear! This started happening after I fooled around in the users, I was trying to put all my customizations in all users. Their are only two users, me and guest, and guest is dissabled. All the customizations I make go into "justin" except for desktop, all that goes into "all users" for some reason. Please someone help me!
