P4P800 + sata raid

Has anyone used the ICH5R sata raid 0 on this board I am thinking of getting one and want to use it with the parts in my signature, if anyone has used it any tips on setting it up appreciated many thanks.

I just got my P4P800 board... very niceish, and hoping to sata raid it at some point this spring. Right now I just run to disks on each their channel, cleaning up in the mess of data I have.

Everything is a breeze, BIOS n all. Haven't had an easier board ever before.

Make sure you have the Raid drivers on a floppy. The XP install will ask for it when it installs for the first time.

im using raid too... installed the drivers after i installed xp :)

Thanks for the replies I am still waiting on an answer about the Epox board don't want to get the Asus just yet if that is being returned, I have downloaded all the latest drivers ready also the floppy drivers (F6) so I am all ready and can get the board in a day thanks again.

For those guys with who've Raided they're P4P800 what stripe size can they use up to. I'm using the Via IDE RAID controllers and can only get up to 64K stripe. Is this the same for the SATA controller?

Running SATA raid and VIA IDE raid both 16M stripe. EASIEST raid setups in the world NP!!

I wanted to do 128K stripe could you do that on your Via RAID?
