Hi,
I had a Katmai PIII450 that I ran at 558mhz and 585. All you need to do is increase the front side buss to 124 in the bios for 558 and 130 fsb to get 585. Mine would go higher but I needed better cooling. Get a case fan first , it is cheap. Mine did 558 solid with stock heatsink and fan and it would do 585 pretty well, but temps rose a bit on the high side when 3D gaming, but 558 it would run 3dmark 2000 all day. Good luck, also set your ram to cas2 and disable speed error hold. Enable shadow system bios and enable system bios cacheable.
Good Luck

check out the cpu database...its a good place to see what people have done with their chip
