Vimal, WOW. How long have you been doing this for????, You seem to be extremely knowledgeable about the whole aspect of over clocking.
I will give it a whirl; I’m just working on the courage thing at the moment. I'm going to buy a decent cooling system before i carry out any major surgery.
I'll keep you updated regularly and thanks a lot for the info, much appreciated.
Until Next time
Grand total of *gasp* - 6 months. Seriously though, the first two months were spent browsing forums and reading sites. (College has its advantages - ethernet makes browsing newsgroups, etc a lot faster) After that, it was tinkering with old hardware that I wouldn't be terribly upset over if I accidentally toasted.
Reading and browsing forums is the best cause chances are somebody out there has already done exactly what you are trying to do, and can give you a good step-by-step rundown of what you want to do.
Oh yeah, browse intel.com for spec sheets. These things may seem a bit technical (heck, I don't even understand a quarter of the stuff they write in them) but often explain exactly how devices are constructed and how they were meant to be used. It is always nice to know *why* what you're doing will work (or why it won't)
Once again, good luck and happy overclocking
