A7V8X-X Exit Bios and Computer shuts Off

Bought this board new and can't get it to work. You can enter bios and make changes but when you save and exit the bios the computer just shuts off. Have changed the battery, tried different hard, floppy, cd-rom drives which got me a little farther, was able to start loading windows before shutting off. Tried using another power supply with no luck. Even tried using a different case and different cables. Memory is new, OZ DDR 256 32x64 PC 2100 and Cpu is XP 2100 which is used but was working fine when I took it out of my old system. Been waiting 3 weeks to hear from asus. Anybody else had this problem ?

Did you flash the bios or did your board just come like this?

whats the cpu setting u have 4 iti was having the same problems till i got it figured right

set jumpers to factory defaults following the manual, will check again to see what you mean
