I have a Del Dimension XPS D300 just sitting with dust on it. LOL. I want to know if I can OC it. Its a P2 300mhz w/128 megs of ram. Is it possible to OC? Thanks for the help!

Chances are, you won't be able to overclock any OEM computer, unless your CPU was from a really old batch of PIIs and the multiplier is unlocked and your motherboard has a DIP or jumper bank built in to control the multiplier. Otherwise, any options in BIOS probably aren't available, so you may be SOL until you get a new motherboard.

Hi Derelict,
I'm sorry but your chance of OC are poor, coz your Dell have a Mobo Intel 440LX and it can handle only 66,75 and 83Mhz of Fsb.
Take a look to your Mobo and if jumpers are present go to Dell website for the right settings.

I hope it helps you :-)

That chip has an unlocked multiplier, and you should be able to bump it up to 333 on that board with jumpers ....i ran a 266 at 300 on a dell one time....that board went up to 333 though by multiplier adjustment
