Lo all
Just was wondering how high i could upgrade my Proccesor to, it's a Intel Pentium 2 300Mhz on a slot 1 with Intel 440LX motherboard...

I think i can only get to 330 with pentium 2!
Am i correct?

Thx

Well I know that the highest PII's were made were 450MHz. But it all depends on your motherboard, check the manual and see the highest PII it supports.

The iLX is a 66Mhz FSB chipset. You can probably use a (mendocino core) Celeron upto 533Mhz. The 533 will give you quite a performance boost cuz you'll get 233Mhz more and full speed cache. And depending on the minimum voltage your particular mobo can supply (check your mobo's manufacturer's site) with a BIOS-update and a good slocket the coppermine Celerons upto 766Mhz might be possible.
