Greetings All,
My Celeron 600 will no longer overclock to 900 MHz after a recent memory upgrade. I upgraded to 1024MB (4-Crucial 256MB PC133 Cas2 ECC) from 256MB (1-Crucial 256MB PC133 Cas2). Now my Celeron 600 can't go pass 674@1.7Volts without problems, before the memory upgrade it would go as high as 945@1.95Volts (unstable in games) and 900@1.9Volts (rock stable). Here are my current specs.
Intel Celeron 600@674, cB0
Asus P2B-F with latest bios
Asus S370-DL cpu card
Asus P2T thermal sensor
Thermaltake Golden Orb
4-Crucial 256MB PC133 Cas2 ECC
2-Iomega 12X10X32 cdrws
2-Kenwood 72X cdroms
Creative Labs 6X dvdrom
Creative Labs SB Live 5.1 platinum
3Com NIC
2-Promise ATA100 controller cards
2-Maxtor 30GB 7200rpm ATA100 hard drives
2-Microsoft usb gamepads
Microsoft mouse
Microsoft keyboard
ATI AIW Radeon 32MB AGP, not overclocked
Sony 1.44MB floppy drive
Enlight EN-8902 server case with bundled Enlight 300W PSU and 4 Sunon fans
WinME
I bought 1024MB of memory because it's currently cheap and I'm considering making this pc a future in home server. Could the problem be the 300W PSU, I know there are a lot of devices draining it. I want to be back at 900MHz again but I don't want to drop any memory or upgrade my PSU, unless as a last resort. Any suggestions or helpful info would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You All
