Hefty Page File

My page file is 1.60 GIGS! Good lord...

I changed the location of the page file to a diff. drive recently and dropped the size to like 128 megs ( I have 1 gig of ram).

Is this the old page file? The same page file? The one that is 1.6 gigs is in the windows folder on the 'C' drive (which is not the new page file drive). If it's not the same, is it safe to delete it?

My os drive is only 14 gigs as I only put OS and closely related objects on it and it's getting bloated. So I am trying to cut useless crap.

try to delete it. If it lets you do it, then it's ok.

when i set up my page file to be constant which is better on the different drive it automatically erased the old one!

If you removed it from being on drive C, and the file is still there, it is safe to delete.

Yeah I set the page file for my secondary drive and set it to 500-500Megs. Seems to be faster.

If you want to use the minidump or kernel dump you need to keep a small page file on the XP partition.
