i have a a7v8x-x and i recently flashed the bios with the newest one (1008) using the smart flash (alt-f2 at start-up). When finished, everything went as planned .Initialy i had a athlon xp 2000+, but it now recognizes it as a 2600+!. I went into the bios and tried to bring my clock speed to 2500 since it was easily accessible from the menu. I saved the settings and rebooted the machine. It didnt start. I then rebooted a couple of times and got to the bios and put it back to 2089 or whatever. However it still recognizes it as a 2600+. What do i do or what did i do wrong?
