OK so a while back I posted about trying to overclock my gateway P2 300 Mhz comp and people told me they are generally not too friendly with that sort of thing. Pinky suggested I try and use softfsb, so I downloaded that and I know I have an Intel 440LX/EX mobo, that's what I see in the case and that's what wcpuid tells me. ;) Now there are two Intel options to find the FSB on softfsb, so I tried doing both of them and every time it tells me "could not access PLL-IC" and I have no idea what that is, or if I will even be able to do so. Could someone please help? Thanks.
If I need to list some other components then here are just a few... I don't know that they will matter much
--128 MB PC 66 sdram
--Intel 440LX/EX mobo
--Voodoo 4 4500 PCI
--And other stuff that I am too lazy to list right now
My FSB is running at 66 Mhz right now and the only real reason I want to make it higher is to see more out of my Voodoo 4, I know that I am not getting its full potential... and don't tell me to go buy a new comp because that's exactly what I am saving my money for right now... it takes a while to get that money when you are 17. :D
