What video cards support the dual monitor thing. I am not talking about having the same image displayed on two monitors but where you can strech on desktop across 2 monitors. Do the fireGL gfx cards support it? How about some others.

All you need to do that with your vid card is a dvi-vga converter (for dual CRTs) and a nice little proggy called UltraMon.

Hope this helps.

So with a 9800pro this can be accomplished. I didn't know that. I thought that you needed a special video card. This isn't for me but for a my friend who wants to do this although he does want to 9800pro. Hrm interesting.

Just for kicks how is it possible to get more than 10 seperate displays on the same computer? The program supports it.

Unfortunately, no... Your video card only has two outputs and thus can only support 2.

Could you explain that more? No to my 1st question or second question? 1 being will it work on my 9800p or 2 being how does one hook up 10 seperate monitors to a PC.

The pc I'm currently building a pc that will have 4 19in CRT monitors.

1 (AGP) PowerColor 9800SE video card (supports two monitors).
1 (PCI) PowerColor 9200SE video card (supports two monitors).

Actually in theory you could run 10+ monitors.
2 from the AGP card + 2 from every PCI card (5 pci's in ATX) = 2 + (2 x 5) = 12 monitors.

FYI - if you attempt this and you ever need tech support to help u implement it, the card manufacturer will tell you it's "unsupported".

1 video card (AGP or PCI) will only support two display images (at the most). You can run images to three output sources, almost all ATI dual-display cards support 1 VGA (CRT), 1 DVI (DFP), and 1 S-Video (TV) BUT the TV will only "duplicate" another output. So you can run 3 displays from a card but only two images.

For a complete list of supported ATI multi-display configurations, goto page 6 (page 10 of the PDF) of this document.

If I wanted 2 DVI monitors I would have to go with something else it seems. Like the fireGLX? Hrm? Any recommendations?

I think that you are out of luck without shelling out a buttload of money.

This isn't for me. My friend does have a buttload of money for his new bussiness and he has an imagination.
