TOO HOT OR NOT

My cele 566 runs at 850 right now at 35 deg c is this too hot? What do some of the average celes run at temp wise. It will do 1003 with golden orb but not good enough cooling, I need help guys :(

35c is 95f and no its not very hot at all.

If thats a load temp then it looks good. The orb just isn't quite good enough to get to that speed.

For 20 bucks you can get a good HSF like a copper one maybe a Gladiator\goldengate check out cyber deals. If you really must keep the orb then give it a good lapping and use Radioshack thermal compound at the minimum, Articsilver 2 is better but i dont like waiting for stuff to come in the mail. If your temps are under full load then your doing a great job if its at idle then a little more work will be needed to get you to those higher FSB settings.

My 566 runs at 41C full load and when running normal apps. runs at 34-36. I have always felt this to be about average operating temp for this chip with the setup i have. And due to the fact that the room temp. is at least 80F all the time in the summer

I think the golden gate would be a good option or a Fop 32-1.
