Hi guys.
well i 'm new here, but i have a problem and i thought you could help me out. I own a PII450MHZ (4.5 Multiplier) and a Soyo SY-6BE mainboard. the thing is, that my CPU works ok at 112 MHz BUS, but i want it to do 133, but it won't even boot BIOS when i set it....
so i'm wondering if any of you have any expiriences with it... or what do i do to make it work at 133?? do i raise the CPU voltage?? (the mainboard doesn't support it so i'll have to do that pin isolating) oh and btw, the temperature is not an issue.

thx all, bye

Welcome to the forum 4EyeGuy
You answered the question yourself, You probably need to up the CV (core voltage).
BTW: did you try other settings like 124 ?

*** EDIT *** Do you have PC133 Memory?

Wow. You would need some absolutely top-notch supercooling for any PII to ever hit the 600 MHz you are wanting this processor to do. There just isn't much headroom in these - most people hit the ceiling between 500 and 550 with these old chips, and unless you have amongst the highest-grade PIIs ever availabe, you probably won't make it to 600. This was not a very popular overclocking chip - there are still under 30 entries to date on overclocking the 450 in the database ; and this chip has been around for how long?

If you go ahead and try for it, good luck! That would be a very nice overclock, and probably quite the learning experience, too! You're dealing with one of the tougher chips to OC, and if you succeed, you'll have one of the highest OCs of that chip! Something to be happy about, for sure!
