This P3 1 GHz I got is absolutely amazing me.

1.2GHz now at 160 FSB idling at 29.9C and 34C under load.

I just wish my Crucial could do CAS2 here...that would rock...gonna try raising voltage to it to see if it can hack it. Gets to where it should display my network logon then either reboots or hangs...doesn't freeze though, just won't go any further so there's hope.

Well, I'm guessing it's not my memory. I can boot into Win2K fine at 160 with CAS2 set to Turbo but get blue screens after a few minutes pointing at a problem with my Win32.sys file which would indicate to me it's the hard drive or the HPT370 controller.

It's set now at 155 which seems stable with two instances of SETI running. Idles at 28.5C to 29C and still 34C under full load.

No reason to break the bank on a couple of GXPs to get 5-10 more MHz so I'll be happy here. Maybe I'll try again in a couple of weeks after it's burned in a bit more.

Mine does 160 at default vcore so I think you are correct with the controller holding you back.

Just hope the other 1 Gig I get this weekend is as sweet. That's all that has me worried.

I got one too! And it just does not stop ocing! It is the most amazing chip I have, the problem, and I know it is this is that, either the PCI or that damn HPT ATA100 controller is dying on me, so I have a few questions...

I have the ABIT VH6-2 and 256 of Tonicon PC166 ram, right now I am at 160 FSB, at CAS 2 TURBO, and I can post all the way to 180, but of course it freezes! My video car a TNT DIAMOND VIPER must be holding me back, or is it my ATA 100 controller? The HPT?? Would a Promise controller do better? I also have a SB Live and I will soon put in my 3com NIC,

so tell me from your experience, what components would conk out first at 160 plus FSB?? My ram I am sure is ok, and my HDD is an IBM 75GXP, thats ok, and my GEFORCE2 PRO is comin in, so the only factors really could be the PCI, like my SB LIVE or the HPT controller....what can I do? This cDo wont stop!
