I have just picked up a Celeron 667 (FCPGA) with an Abit Slocket III. After install, the motherboard would not auto find the CPU. For whatever reason, I cannot get the multiplier off x5. I set it to 10 and it still sits at 333 (66) (WinCPUid also verifies this). It also says it's a PIIIe. I have flashed the bios to the SS version (most up to date). I pushed the FSB to 133 and now am sitting at 667. Really wanted to get to 1.0G, but haven't had luck with the multiplier.
Any guesses?

Ok....
I'm a friggin' idiot!!!
I decided to take my golden orb off and get the S code of the CPU and saw that compubuzz sent me a PIII 667 (133) instead of the Celeron 667 (66)!!!
If I could overclock it, I'd keep it, but 133 is as fast as my MB will go...
Thanks for looking anyway....

Send it back and demand next day air back on it plus a stick of crucial PC150 ram lol
if you can get the p3 running i say just keep it ...your not gonna get much better results out of the celeron unless its running at 1 Gig....well i would keep it anyway
