IE disconnects Internet

My friend is having a problem with his internet just disconnecting when he runs internet explorer. He can run any other internet application except IE.

He is on cable and has a router, but whenever he does it only his computer disconnects from the internet.

He tried to scan for a virus but no results came up. I don't think formatting is an option for him either.

If anyone has any clues on this mystery please clue me in. Thanks.

from control panel add and remove soft take off IE and then delete its folder x:\Prog Files\Internet Exploder\
reinstall from the web and your friend's pc should be fine

if that doesn;t work then goto start+R and type regedit and remove all IE refrenes and now try to install

if that doesn;t work get a baseball bat and smash lol
