Hi everyone! I just bought an AN7 mobo, installed it and everything works ok except for the onboard sound. For some weird reason it wont playback any wav. files (or system sounds). The rest of formats are ok (mp3, midi etc.). I updated with the latest drivers but still nothing.
I tested it on both W2K and XP pro and I did some sound testing in the DirectX sound test. Can't hear the first four sounds there (the rest are ok). Can't hear the wav files in the Soundstorm setup window either. I tested the system with a garbage PCI sound card (ABIT AU10) and everything is ok.
My system:
AN7 mobo (NO O/C)
CPU Barton 2500+
Sapphire 9600XT video card
80GB Seagate Baracuda+40GB Maxtor (no SATA)
512 MB, DDR 400 (PC3200) KINGMAX TSOP (single channel)
Chieftec Case 360W
Can anyone help me with this issue....I'm running out of options here!!!! Any tips or solutions?
