Sound problem with A7V8X-MX ASUS MotherBoard

Hi,

Im having a sound problem with my A7V8X-MX ASUS MotherBoard

I am getting some sound out of the system, using my old compaq speakers(part of original pc)
However all the volumes controls are completely maxed, and the sound is still quite low,

This system was recently completely built from scratch, with new case, motherboard, AMD 2600+ and 512 DDR RAMm, running windows XP, hoever I am still using my old keyboard, monitor, modem and SPEAKERS from the old system.


Any suggestions

Did you check the settings in the nvidia sound control panel or the XP sound panel?
