Fry's: WD ATA100, 8meg, 7200, 120GB: $58 after rebate

I stopped by my local Fry's last Friday and they had brand new WD ATA100, 8meg, 7200, 120GB: $58 after rebate ($108 plus a $50 mail-in rebate).

What's with this store called Fry's?!?! I have never heard of it and I lived in Philadelphia for many years and now I've been living in Jacksonville for about a year. I guess the East Coast doesn't have any, at least that I know of :-\

But that's a sweat deal, I woulda been all voer that in a heart beat.

That's for an 80GB HDD for $54.99 on the first link and a 120GB HDD for $64.99 on the second link. Obviously it's not quite as good if you can just walk into the store and buy it but good none the less.

If that doesn't come up, go to www.outpost.com and then search for Western Digital. It's all the way at the bottom. I assume they send you the rebate form with the HDD. I didn't look around the site so I'm not positive.

Nice find, it's just what I was looking for. Although I wish I had bought the 160GB HDD for $60-$70 after rebates from CompUSA a few weeks ago...

edit: The first link doesn't show that there is a rebate but if you go to the site and search for Western Digital, it'll show it.

I was just about to order it when i went and read the rebate form... It is for purchases between 3/12/04 - 3/18/04 and its still 3/11/04 today. I'm pretty good with dates, I work at a company that makes scheduling products.

Wow, good catch! Pretty sneaky to offer the rebate with a purchase and then have that small techincality. Where did you find the rebate form on the site? (I was just glancing around and didn't take the time to look, heading out to work so I don't have the time to do it now.)
