I got a P2-233 goin @290 default voltage. Seems to run good. I would go for more but this board (Asus P2L97) only supports a max bus speed of 83.
When I try using soft fsb it locks up my computer when I click on find fsb.
Im using the chip as a small server for downloads.

i ran my ol'PI233 at 292 too, raising a bit the default voltage. You cant get more simply with aircooling. i read that someone could obtain 300-350MHz using the first watercoolers or peltiers.
It's strange that SoftFSB locks up...sure that you mobo's in the list?

would you mind posting how you OCed that chip and any links you might have? I've been wanting to OC a PII 333, but have had a hard time finding info. I'm most interested in your cooling.

Oh man! Used to have that exact same combo, the PII 233 and the P2L97!

Have you tried messing with the multiplier jumpers on that board? Something I always meant to do but never got around to doing while I had it...
