a PII 300 or a celeron 333?

I would say the P2 300, because of the larger cashe and higher FSB. other that that its a toss up...

just checked the cpudatabase the 333 seems to overclock better, it has a higher average.

because im tempted to sell my friend my old celeron 333 to use instead of his PII
i just didnt want to do it with a guilty conscience

you probly can get the celeron 333 running at 500 with a little extra air cooling...besides the p2 300 has a 66mhz FSB just like the celeron

I traded a buddy a cele 500 for a p2 266 just b/c i thought it would make a nice paperweight one day

I think the celeron actually. There was hardly any difference performance wise between a Celeron and a P2. Really depended on what you are doing. But as people said before, you can really overclock that celeron.
