...and now my case fans spin slower than they did with my older generic CPU. I know this because I can feel the air blowing behind the case, and it is not nearly as fast as it was. Also, one of the fans has an LED light, and that also makes its speed more noticeable.

Anyone got any ideas? Thanks in advance!

btw... my sys specs are in the sig, except I just installed a 9800pro instead of the NV (but that shouldnt make a difference).

Are you using the "Fan Only" connectors?

Yes sir, I connected those to the case fans... (currently 4 case fans) I think even to my thermaltake volcano 11+... should I not be using those?

My older PSU didnt have those "fan only" connectors... so I just used regular ones.

anyone got anymore thoughts? thanks.

welp, theres your problem. Antec PS "Fan only" connectors only supply 7v. Which is why they are spinning slower and your LED is dim or not lighting up.

Ok I see... But it also seems that if I do not use them, I run out of connectors... I dont want to attach anythihng to my 9800pro bc I've been told not to by many other people. Maybe I am overlooking some.

It doesn't hurt. Just don't connect it to a fan contoller. I have all my fans on 7v fan connectors (antec 430true) except for 2 front intakes on 12v, and those are shared with the 9800 pro

hard drive - 1 molex
dvd writer - 1 molex
dvd rom - 1 molex
9800pro - 1 molex shared with 2 fans

i don't have any problems
