Working on a comp for a friend.

Specs are..
Mobile 2600+
Asus A7N8X-Deluxe Rev 2.0
2x256 Kingston HyperX 2-3-2-6
FX5900 Ultra 256.
37 Gig SATA Raptor
CDRW
Blah blah, you get the jist.

Problem is I cant seem to get the damned thing stable. I can OC all the way up to about 2.7ish, and get into windows....but fail prime within 10 seconds.

Ive been sitting at 200x12 (2400) fairly stable - but still lose prime at about 30 minutes. And the RAM wont do better then 2-3-3-8 @ 1:1. Vcore is 1.75, VDimm is 2.8.

What do you suggest I do to get this thing stable over 2.4ghz?

Thanks.

I run my Xp2500 mobile at 2700 with 1.95V prime stable with the same EXACT cooling you have.

Look at your 12V rail and see what your voltage is at idle/load.
If your 12V line drops too low under load your OC will not be stable. My experience is when the 12V line is LESS than 11.64 under load its pretty much OVER.
