i got the mushkin lvl1 pc3500 dual 1gb tried to run ddr433 but wont even run at ddr414. One stick will do ddr410 and the other will do ddr412 even with 2.8v. I know its not the cpu cause i can run the 1:1 divider and its fine but using the 4:5 divider it doesnt get past 168fsb. So should i RMA? bought it from newegg but its no longer on there site when i checked a little while ago.
thanks to all that replie

my rig is in sig i replaced the samsung with the 2 x512 lvl1's i tried to run it at 4:5 to get closer to ddr433 while at 170fsb before i move it up to 3.2ghz taking baby steps. At 1:1 i can run 170 just fine prime stable. I did run memtest at 4:5 at ddr404 and got 57 errors after eight hrs with 2.8v they were in the same mem range so i figure 1 error but it ran multi times? I have not tried memtest at 170 @ 1:1 since it craped out on me above ddr404... aslo after changing it to something above 404 i got a bios checksum error and assumed it was the mem... i did remember reading something somewhere about it... ill have to see if i can find it.... i know the cpu can do 3.2ghz @1.7v but not prime stable so im moving it up of a few weeks to see if it helps.. but even at 3.06ghz i thought the faster memfsb would make a difference?
the rated spec for that ram is 216 mhz
at 4:5 ratio 173 would be 216.25 thats pretty close.....
(173 /4) *5 =216.25
