I just built a system. A Pent III 1Ghz, it is not overclocked... yet.... it is actually running at 750 @ 100 on a BE6-II Mobo......... I just loaded Win ME and when it reboots it freezes at "Verifying DMI Pool Data........"

Anyone know why????

The first thing I would do it go into my bios and make sure that the virus checker is DISABLED! this causes many problems and is unnecessary....try that out :-)

I got it working! I noticed that the Mass Storage Controller and my network card had the same IRQ, so I took the NIC out. Then the DMI Pooling Verification went through, but then it froze again..... I assumed this whole time that my HDD was set to master from the factory, but then I looked at the jumpers and it was set to slave.... so I set it to master, disabled the Slave in teh BIOS.... and everthing works! I am runnin @ 1Ghz @ "134" @ 1.80......

Any suggestions on how I can get it up to 1.1, 1.2???

Since your going to be running everything out of spec [if its a 133] temps are critical, cooling your nortbridge as well as a HS on your clockgenerator will help, good case cooling ect ect, using the rite equipment [hardware friendly to overclocking] and you may get it up in the 1200 range and if youve won the CPU lottery 1300 may be possible.
