After fumbling around on the internet I've stumbled upon the "Evidence
Eliminator" software. http://www.evidenceliminator.com . Personally, I
hate the name, every time I type it I feel as though I'm placing a sign over
my head saying, "Someone Monitor Me". Anyway, that's neither here, nor
there. I am quite intrigued by what the software actually offers and have
been seeking others opinions.

I'm aware of what the consensus is on their ever so "pleasant" marketing
tactics, but thankfully their BS is not what has interested me in their
product. If anyone has an opinion on the functionality of the software
itself, or even better, any recommendations on software that can do what
they claim, that would be GREAT!

I'd rather go seeking software recommended to me by a fellow tech-head then
someone with a 3rd rate degree in marketing.

The above link is to a free program that is very configurable. There is a schedule option that can be set to delete tasked folders/files. What I would do if I were concerened about cleaning your system, would be get into where stuff is stored, like your history, temp, cache files and set them to be securely deleted by schedule or click.

You can load up a web page with any photo, then search for that photo and I think you will be suprised to see just how many references to it and actual images of it are available. The program at the link will also clean your paging/swap file upon shutdown. This will add lots of time to your shutdown. Also your system failure dump can contain data when/if you have ever crashed. Watson included with windows, also creates logs and there are other places to find what you think you have cleaned off.

Depending on your needs(Got Porn?) you are probably going to be OK with even just creating some links to the folders that you find things are stored. Bottom line, it is VERY difficult to completly clean out a windows system and some of those programs that are available do a pretty good job of keeping the casual snoop out of your use.

I've used EE and it is very good and thorough. I use Windows Washer now thou, which i like. Its a lot simpler than EE and good enough for me for just cleaning up all the junk. From what i read thou, you cant beat EE and i think i can probably believe that...Its said to be the only one that truely does what it says, and effectively.
