whats better a retail or a oem celeron i`m looking at a 800 or 900 mhz for my other comp....some suggestions would be apreciated

If you know you'll be putting it in danger, retail. Most Intel CPUs have a three year warranty. If you were to damage it in any way, you'll be able to pretty much RMA it if you don't tell them you overclocked it.

If you want to save money, and you don't really care about it much, OEM. Just make sure you do everything in the first 15 days or so. Most retailers have a 15-30 day warranty

I haven't checked Intel prices in a while, for the past year I have been buying mostly AMD but I would recomend that if the price between the 2 is close go for the box. If the differance is not small get the OEM. Most times it doesn't matter which way you go but it is nice to have the warranty that comes with the boxed version if the monetary differance is small.

ok thanks for that...now whats a better cpu the celeron 800 or the 900,i believe they both run on a 100fsb....which one of these is the best to oc

If both FSB's are 100 I would get the 800mhz cpu. The reason is the lower multiplier of 8. 8x150=1200 I doubt that you will get that high anyway so when you OC you will have a faster fsb speed with the 800 then you can get with the 900.
