Pentium III 700E SL45Y 1.65v

Hi!
i have a Pentium III 700E SL45Y 1.65v.

What is the highest speed i can reach with this CPU? Now it is @933 with 1.75v (stable).

Keep bumping the FSB up little by little until instability occurs. Once you get that try upping the core voltage a TINY bit...maybe to 1.8V and I personally wouldn't go any higher than 1.90V although some are known to go as high as 2.05V.

Keep a close eye on temps the ENTIRE time.

Burning it in with a program like Seti will help also. Remember all CPU's will overclock differently even the same make and size there is a point when luck of the draw takes over and then you just have to cross your fingers so at this time its really hard to say exactly how far you can take her your just going to have to try.

Theres other things that can help with getting a good overclock mainly as Jon said temps are very important and cooler is always better. If you get to a wall post back here again and we will be glad to help.

Its hard to answer you question because every chip is different,check out the CPU database on the main page, you will find quite a few people breaking the 1Ghz barrier with there SL45Y's...But this is completly dependent on your system, type of ram, cards, motherboard, cooling etc..
