I was told that SMP is not supported in "stepping 1" chips i this correct?
Here is the information from the Intel Utility
CPU Type 0
CPU Family 6
CPU Model 8
CPU Steppping 1
Does this mean that I cannot use this CPU in a dual configuration? because of the stepping number?
Thanks for the help:)

What chip are you getting this info from?
As far as I know, ANY Pentium 3 chip can be used with SMP on boards that support dual P3s (the BP6 was for dual celerons, so that's really the only exception).

Yeah, I'm just worried he's gonna try and run dual Celeron II's.

It is from my P3 that I am running at 800 (6.0*133) right now:)
It is a P3, remember that "I don't have."
I'd shoot for a cD0 1Gig. I've had 3 in my hands so far (waiting on one to get replaced due to a cracked core) and they all hit 1125 easily. Depending on your other PCI devices 1.2 isn't completely out of the question.
If you're going with the 133 bus to begin with might as well get the highest clocked one you can get...cash providing, of course.
