Standard P111 operating Temp

What is the standard operating temp, My P111 after running FAH for a while was running around 120-140. I dont like that becuase I dont think its normal????

140 is way to hot tell as what your running [or toasting]and what kind of HSF [heatsinkfan] you have and we may be able to help.

That sound HOT to me My P4 1.5@1.65 runs 44c/111f running fah 24/7
I have a HSF- MC426 with a 80mx38m Delta.

140 isn't necessarily too hot, it's just a bit toasty. With the stock heatsink, these temperatures are just about right. I used to get about 120 when idle.

Consider upgrading your heatsink or improving upon the one you have now. Lap the thing and add a new fan, or replace it with another. For a slot, get the Alpha P3125. It's a bit pricey, but it's well worth it. For socket, the Glaciator. It's performs pretty well against more expensive models, but it still has a relatively cheap $40 price tag. For value, get a Golden Orb. Many people don't like them, but it's better than the stock one, and it's pretty cheap.

sounds to me that you dont have enough case cooling get a couple more case fans put the one 80mm fan in the back of your PC and have the air blowing in this will dirrect cool air straight to your HSF then the other 80mm in the front of your case with the air blowing out, this will help allot, also I had a coolermaster and with a good lapping and some thermal compound at Radioshack you will drop temps even more, the thermal pad that the coolermaster comes with does a lousy job at transfering heat from your CPU to your HSF.
