need some help with bios versions and settings.

Which bios would be the best? i havent updated bios or anything yet.

still looking for some good ram for this setup. i want 2x512 $250 budget
currently have generic stuff..maybe it will oc best timings i can get are 2.5-3-3-7

I've found the 1/31 beta BIOS to be most stable for me. It also allowed me to ramp my FSB higher to 255 from 250. As for RAM, I suggest looking for some BH5 sticks by checking out this thread at XS. It's strange but I've heard of BH6 sticks doing 277MHz 2-2-2-11 so those are decent too.

ok i updated my bios to 1/31 with no problems. running at stock speeds now temps are the same. my goal is to get 250x10. is there anyway i can get there with this ram i have now? perhaps relaxing the timings? the vdimm is 2.7 i could prolly bump up some. and chipset voltage. what is the default for this?
