Loaded O/S on a 74GB Raptor but no display. What gives? My bios settings are correct and RAID is disabled. It boots to the windows logo screen then the screen goes black. Can't seem to get passed the logo screen. I'm thinking it might be a video problem or a power issue but I loaded the O/S with no problems just can't boot to it. I previously loaded an O/S onto a SATA Maxtor 120GB and it works just fine. Any ideas what this problem could be? Oh, almost forgot! I'm running this so called raptor on a IC-7 Max 3 mobo with an AIW 9700 pro.

if you still have the maxtor hooked up unhook so the raptor is the only booting harddrive because it might be looking at the wrong harddrive...or go into your bios and set your harddrive to boot be4 your maxtor

I don't have the maxtor hooked up at all and it still doesn't get passed the logo screen. Do you think it's something with my bios? Should I just clear the cmos and start over?

Have you selected the raptor as second priority (after the floppy/CD ;))? If not, the maxtor may still have priority and creating conflict.

Clearing CMOS won't hurt, then boot to BIOS and check boot priorities.
