ok so no its time to choose a pump and i was wondering if the hydor l30 performs the same as the ehiem 1250 in noise, head, gph, and reliability

It pumps very good still but it is loud as heck and there is no guarantee that the one you buy won't do this. Many people have loud hydors but there seems to be no complaints about the eheims.
