I have read about DVDShrink 3.0. I am right now, burning my first disk with it. The usability is supposed to be superior to DVD XCopy and DVD Shrink is freeware. I'll give an update on how well it works.

Just finished copying my Pirates of the Caribbean DVD with DVD Shrink. Works like a charm. I was switching them back and forth in the DVD player to check video and audio quality and the copy is EXACTLY the same as the origional. All out of a freeware DVD copier program, gotta love it. Took a total of 35 minutes to code and copy the DVD to a 4x disk.
