im pretty good at zero'ing out a drive and formatting them when it crashes but this time its different.......i have a samsung 40 gig 7200 rpm hard drive that came in my old e-machine comp......i got my new system all up and running and i use that drive as a storage drive .my main drive is a maxtar 80 gig 7200 rpm.....just the other day the samsung made a wierd noise and i heard the drive shut down.....i checked in my computer and the drive letter was gone......i have had this problem with this drive in the past and the solution was turning the comp off and the drive came back....would anyone know why the hell this drive would do this?......its not a constant thing......it happens once in a blue moon.
