My chances of this 9800SE modding?

I just ordered a Powercolor 9800SE that has L-shaped memory. I was wondering what the chances are for it successfully modding into a 9800 Pro?

If my chances aren't high, I'll cancel the order for a Powercolor 9600XT, keeping in mind I'm replacing my Geforce4 ti4400...

Help?

I hear that powercolors are some of the best cards to mod. Not sure why though, it might be that they are the last ones made with L shaped ram, or they might have like a 90% success rate.
