I am beginning to build a 20 layer x.xGHz cluster, similar to Nikhsub1 http://www.netbetty.com/farm/front2.jpg The layers will have PIV's 1.7 to 2.4(HT).

I am thinking about using the Sparkle FSP300 (+3.3@15, +5@30, +12@18) for the individual psu. Good or I can do better, but the budget is the key factor.

Can't you try buying a PS around 350W and split the power between 2 rigs?

Since I;m running all P4s, each mobo has the primary power supply and the secondary power supply as well. I can use one PS to supply multi hdd, cdroms, etc, but I'm not going to rewire the outputs to run 2 mobos. So far from what I've seen is one ps per layer.
