I have a 1.4ghz duron Applebred, and was wondering if the cache could be unlocked. I couldn't find a guide for it, so thought I'd ask here. Any links or help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

well first things first, what week is your CPU? Is it unlocked?
If its week 39 or later there's a big chance that the chip is locked and thus, the cache cannot be reactivated.
If its unlocked then all you have to do is close the cut L2 bridge with conductive ink/paint.

Week 39? Sorry but I'm new and don't understand what you mean by that. Could you please explain ferther? All I know is the multiplier is locked at 10.5...

ur steping is printed right on the CPU, the second line with a whole bunch of #, the last 2 # are the week of the CPU, post up ur CPU stepping and we can confirm it.
