I am running a mobile 2600 at 165x15 @1.65v with pc2100 memory. If I up the fsb it won't boot and I think it's the memory.
If I upgrade to pc2700 will that allow me to go higher on the fsb?
The reason I ask is the Compusa store near me has cheap 512mb pc 2700 for $40 after rebate. Would this be ok until I can get better ram in 6 months or so?

Yea!

Some pplz go overboard on the OCing (me included). That should work just fine. Keep it at 333 until you get some good RAM like Mushkin on ur birthday or Xmas.

Cpy try to up ur vdimm 2.7V to 3.0V to see if u can stabilize the memory to go higher. Be careful in what memory u get , get a good brand, not an off brand. try newegg.com.
