Lets assume memory, fsb, voltage is no issue. Assume heatercore and Mag 3 pump. Assume the no overclock was feasible before watercooling.

Will a better waterblock result in better overclock?

For example, will a whitewater give a better OC than a TC-4

I'm guessing 2 mhz on the FSB on an AMD and 1 MHz on an Intel P4,,, if you're lucky.

Just a shot it the dark estimate. :)

It really does depend on the CPU and how well it responds.

It is also dramatically dependent upon the quality of the mount that you achieve between the CPU and the waterblock. Consequently it is also dramatically dependent upon how flat the waterblock is so that it can make good contact with the CPU.

Once those factors are taken care of, it then get down to how well a waterblock design deals with hot-spot sections of a CPU and that in turn dictates the overclock that may be achievable with that block (but again - dependent upon the CPU and how well it responds to being cooled better).

Ok then, does the mounting mechanism of the TC-4 put enough pressure on the chip? WIll a clip mount such as the Swiftech 5002 put enough pressure?
