Ok boys and girls, I'm looking for a new game.
let me first tell you what I liked and why....
I'm mostly into FPS, that have a great story behind it.
deus ex (yes the first one, but invisable graphics was not bad because of the story), RTCW, halo, NOLF 1 and 2, SOF 1 and 2....oh and HL.:p
yet Doom3 and HL2 are still a ways off.
far cry is starting to look good, but I feal that the story line will be non exsistant....all eye candy and action, and nothing to pull you deep into the game.
I did try star wars: knights of the old republic , because it got such grate reviews and so many people liked it.
this was my first RPG, and the graphics, action, and story was all fantastic.
I couldn't help but love this game.
I'm thinking of getting battlefield: vietnom, but this will be an online only game....still might get it for some online fun anyway.
sooooo, I'm wondering, are there any RPG's like sw:kotor?????
something that has, great graphics, lots of action, and a great story to suck me in.....
I dont mind a D&D type game, but it has to have great graphics and a good story line....lots of fighting helps too.
please help me...I'm running out of house work to keep me busy.

Neverwinter Nights for one.
Dungeon Siege,
Morrowind<<<<You might DEFINITELY like this one,
Baldur's Gate 2,
Icewind Dale 2,
Anachronox,
Fallout 1+2.
That's all I can think of right now off the top of my head.

thanks for the list.
now let me just say, that maybe I wasn't clear....
I was hoping for something closer graphicly wise (3D) to SW:kotor
morrowind is 3D, but I got board with it in 30 mins...:(
(it was free with my vid card)
Neverwinter Nights was great untill I had to return it because it repeatedly corupted my save games...after repeated crashs.
maybe a fix was made by now.
the rest looks more like the old 2d graphics of yesterday.
boy I wish more RPG's were like the true 3D mind blowing story driven SW:KOTOR.
thanks anyway for the list.

thanks...
not the best reviews, but seems like a winner.
yes, I know it's not a true 3D game, but I'm willing to try something new.
it looks like there is a full trial version...I hope if it's good you can buy it.

Temple is Elemental Evil is actually based on a modified version of the Fallout graphics engine. It's a good game with a good story, but much slower paced than SW:KOTOR (read: turn based combat). If you are familar with AD&D, this game follows the latest edition rulset very closely.
Still, if you can find them, I highly recommend you play Fallout 1 & 2 . The story sucks you in and combat and humor will make you want to play over and over.

The Fallout 1 & 2 combo pack is still the top seller at the Interplay Store (http://www.interplay-store.com/product.asp?part_no=FC-C95-1245-4&find%5Fcategory=&find%5Fdescription=&find%5Fpart%5Fdesc=&IPPC=) and it's only $9.95.

Prince of Persia and Beyond Good and Evil were great. You gotta give Max Payne 2 a spin if you haven't already. There 3rd person but they look really really nice and have good story lines.

another go for the fallout series... probably the best RPGs ive ever played
Sacred by ascaron ent. is supposed to release in the US last week of March, it's alot like Diablo2 in the gameplay control and perspective, but the graphics are superb, not sure if I can post the link to the free demo version?? Pm me for it or search on your own, but I think you would like it, free demo is not full tho only 2 classes are open to play.
BEYOND GOOD AND EVIL
is fun and addictive, and you get to be a girl:-/
but it really has cool graphics

The next great RPG will be Fable on the Xbox. I can only hope they port it to the PC so it'll look even better than it already does. Luckily, I'm going to buy an Xbox when they drop it to $149 so I can play PGR2 until I pass out every night. I could probably fit Fable in there somewhere.

I can't believe I didn't see torment on here, especially when he talks of story lines!
Planescape: Torment.
Thank me later.

I figured that wasn't something you would like. Its too wide open and lacks a decent compelling story to take you from one task to the next like KotOR.
