more memory slower computer

could somebody explain to me whats wrong i have installed 1.5gig of mem on my a7n8x mobo from the 512 meg i had and now my comp seem slower then it was
i know it may sound stupid and it probably aint the case but is it normal

It can happen. The system much constantly monitor the data within the memory which consumes some CPU cycles. Tripling the RAM will increase the amount of processor time devoted to keeping track of the data within the expanded amount of memory. However, I thought this only happened with 2+gigs of memory were run.

thx i have just switch back to 1gig and the speed are similar to when i had only 512mb
