this is what happend i have two partitions one with xp and one with win2k.
i reinstall win2k because i got errors while adjusting ram. now xp is saying this on my boot:

windows 2000 could not start because of the following file missing or corrupt

\windows\system32\config\systemd

i dont have a boot disk....when i put the master disk in it asks for a password to log on for repairs but i didnt put a password in when i installed it

i dont really want to reinstall xp unless i have to .thanks

i did and all it does is bring me to a c:/ prompt in dos
how is that a repair?

if u mean master disk as in a floppy just type A:/repair.exe or just repair something like that or if its a cd just type ouy cd for example d:/Repair.exe or somethin...

nevermind i just reinstalled over it.an hour of work is faster than finding the answer to this
